AY Foundation and JCI Manila recognize the 27th Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Awardee

AY Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Yuchengco Group of Companies (YGC), together with the Junior Chamber International Philippines-Manila (JCI Manila), recently honored Maria Angeles “Lita” Fullerton as the 27th Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Awardee (BTCA), for her unwavering support and care for abandoned children with physical and mental disabilities. Fullerton created the Chosen Children Village Foundation (CCVF) in response to the lack of a permanent home with caring facilities that would nurture, educate, train, and provide opportunities for physically and mentally challenged children. The BTCA is an annual award founded in 1983, in commemoration of the life of Mother Teresa, and is given to individuals who have dedicated a significant part of their lives in the service of the “poorest of the poor”.
