RCBC is the first unibank in the Philippines to equip its Wealth Management Relationship Managers (RMs) with the globally recognized Associate Financial Planner (AFP) certification.

In the AFP certification program, RMs acquired necessary skills such as producing tools-based  financial planning solutions, and understanding client’s psychology behind financial choices through behavioral economics.

“We ensure that our Relationship Managers are equipped with the relevant skills to better service our clients,” says Jane Mañago, Head of RCBC’s Wealth Management Group.  “We regularly undergo routine skills tests in order to ensure that the standards expected of us by our clients are maintained.”

“Aside from this,” she continues, “we also hold regular training program and workshops so that our RMs may acquire new skills that can further improve their existing repertoire.”

AFP certification goes beyond the prestige of holding a globally-recognized title.  Certified individuals are equipped with knowledge and qualifications for financial planning, as well as provided access to further training, programs, and conferences in line with the AFP designation.  At present, there are over 100,000 AFP professionals around the world, now including the RMs of RCBC Wealth Management.
