RCBC and RCBC Savings Bank target growth with new branches
Aiming to further strengthen their presence in the banking industry this year, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) and its subsidiary RCBC Savings Bank (RSB) recently opened new branches in key areas nationwide. RCBC Senior Executive Vice President and Retail Banking Group Head Ismael R. Sandig explained that such efforts are in line with the bank’s initiative to improve its business through its new core banking platform and create smarter solutions to adapt to the industry’s highly competitive market. “Our main goal last year was to really improve the efficiency of transactions and productivity of our personnel and I believe we have achieved that through our new core banking platform,” Sandig said. “Because of this, we are now able to anticipate the needs of our customers, create innovative solutions and provide them with a personalized customer experience.” He added, “To complement the said goals, we’ve always been open to expanding our branch network, especially since we see strategic growth opportunities in many areas of the country. This would really strengthen our position as a major player in the country’s banking industry.” RCBC has recently expanded to seven new locations in Metro Manila, specifically in Jupiter Street and Arnaiz Avenue in Makati; Meralco Avenue in Ortigas; United Street in Kapitolyo, Pasig; Bayani Road in AFPOVAI Subdivision, Fort Bonifacio and Fifth Avenue corner Rizal Drive in Bonifacio Global City and Navotas, while new branches opened in the following provincial sites: Dasmariñas and General Trias, Cavite; Lahug, Cebu City; Kabacan, Cotabato Province; Nabunturan, Compostela Valley Province; Bajada, Davao City; Sta. Rosa, Laguna; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Taytay, Rizal and Koronadal City, South Cotabato. Nine RCBC branches have also moved to new and better locations namely, the Cagayan De Oro-Velez business center in Cagayan de Oro City, the Banilad and Guadalupe business centers in Cebu City, Catarman business center in North Samar, the General Santos business center in General Santos City, the San Pedro business center in Laguna, the Elcano business center in Manila, the Newport City business center in Pasay City and the Pasig Toby's C. Raymundo Avenue business center in Pasig City. Meanwhile, RSB branches have found new homes in Bagong Nayon and Dalig in Antipolo City; Villamonte, Bacolod City; Nasugbu, Batangas; Muzon and Kaypian in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; Caybiga, Caloocan City; Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu; South Oton, Iloilo; Tugatog, Malabon City; Calapan, Oriental Mindoro; Teresa, Rizal and Malanday, Valenzuela City while the Lemery, Batangas; Tanza, Cavite and East Avenue, Quezon City business centers were relocated.
